Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of products do you make?

We specialise in block-printed home furnishings that include bedsheets, covers, cushions, quilts and curtains for the room as well as table mats, runners, napkins, kitchen towels, aprons and other smaller accessories for the kitchen. We also make travel-related products like tote bags and toiletry kits. Rangotri is one of the few studios in the block-printing industry where all processes are done in-house. This is to ensure quality, deliverables, and timeliness.

What’s the minimum order quantity?

The MOQ is 600 meters in one design which includes three patterns (image attached below) using a colour palette. This can be printed using any pure fabric which can then be converted into various products for home furnishings, clothing, and accessories.

How long would it take to print my order?

After placing an order, we require a minimum of 120 days to produce the textiles along with a 30% advance payment. Once the textiles are ready to be shipped, we request you to send the rest of the payment before shipping it across.

How can I choose designs and prints?

We have an extensive collection of over 4000 designs varying from traditional, vintage, modern, geometric and floral patterns that you could choose from. Regarding colours, we use the Pantone TPX shade card. You can read more about our process here.

What kind of fabrics do you use?

We use a wide variety of pure fabrics like Sheeting, Cambric, Mulmul - 60’s & 80’s, Casement, Canvas, Chanderi, Dupion, Cotton Silk and Linen. You can request a swatch card on a chargeable basis. If you’re looking for some other fabric, please let us know and we’ll try our best to source it for you.

Do you create custom prints?

Yes, we would require a to-scale artwork which is set in a repeat format. Do keep in mind that each colour in the design would require a block to be carved which can take about 15-20 days depending on the intricacy. We also have an extensive library that may have similar designs. If you send us a reference or a mood board with the prints you're looking for then we can curate a selection from our archive.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, anywhere in the world on a prepaid and collect basis. We can share tentative shipping costs before production starts.

Are these textiles sustainable?

We're part of a textile park called Jaipur Bloc which is a group of craft producers who have collaborated to share a space that is designed keeping in mind environmental concerns. At Jaipur Bloc, we conserve water through rainwater harvesting and recycle the water we consume during various processes. We have also installed solar panels to conserve electricity. Jaipur Bloc has been appreciated by the European Union and the Stockholm International Water Institute.
